About

History

One rock at a time is how love spreads through It Was A Gift. Blank canvases are around us everyday, if we only see them. What started as a home art project in a small apartment has now grow into a community-wide movement. As far as Europe and Asia, It Was A Gift paintings can be found.

In 2017, a vision was formed that gifts don't just have to be bought from the store but that the best gifts are uniquely made. "Rocks are always free" is one of the many special things about It Was A Gift. "God gave the ultimate gift, so I'm just trying to follow Him and spread my gifts," says Jennifer, CEO.

After many years of rocks, Jennifer continues sharing her talents through rocks, wood paintings, clothes, canvas, and anything she can put her paint brush to. The future is uncertain but giving will always be the center of what she does. She believes that through giving (whether of time or physical gifts), people will find joy even in the darkest times. Do you believe?

Who we are

Through chaos of kids running around, we managed to start something we could believe in at a (very painted on) kitchen table. This website is just the beginning...

Who knows what two friends with God in the center can accomplish?
